Howdy
I'm not very good at introductions. My name is Sofia, but I also go by Sam. I am a concurrent enrollment student from Swallows Charter Academy in my junior year of high school. Though I am currently undecided on my major, I have always had a love for art and plan on pursuing that one way or another in the future, most likely in the form of an Art Therapist. I've always had a love for learning about history, so I decided "why not" and I am taking this course to better understand the art from history.
^^ This icon is something I drew for myself in place of showing my face.
Other than art and history and whatnot, some other things about me are-
- I prefer cats over dogs
- My favorite book series is A Series of Unfortunate Events
- I own a medicine book from 1906
- My friends said that I remind them of an opossum (and they are correct)
- I think Michelangelo is cool but I would never be friends with him.
- My favorite artist is Hannah Höch.
I'm excited for this semester and I hope to learn many things from this course!

Hello, I thought your introduction was quite fabulous. I have a friend named Madison who goes to school at Swallows. I have pondered art therapy for a career as well, I would like to do it in prisons or in rehabilitation centers! I hope you continue to pursue art! I really enjoy your piece you made in place of a photograph. I also prefer cats over dogs but I like my dogs. Your medicine book sounds fascinating! Michelangelo is cool but I would not be his friend either; I would be your friend though!
ReplyDeleteHi Sofia, I am also a concurrent enrollment student from Swallows! It's nice to find someone from the same program. My favorite series is also A Series of Unfortunate Events, I found all the books quite intriguing and could never seem to put them down. The City of Ember series is another personal favorite that I feel like you might like.
ReplyDeleteHi Sofia,
ReplyDeleteI think it's smart when high school students enroll in college courses to get ahead of the game. You sound like you don't know the route you have to walk to get to your goal, but you have one and that's definitely a step forward! Wish I had someone to give me the advice to do what you're doing back when I was in high school. But let's face it, back then I was your average skater boy from the suburbs who probably wouldn't have taken it anyways!
